Paris Patisserie

Cold winter days make me long for a hot cup of coffee and a twice baked almond croissant. All crispy and flakey on the outside, and buttery melt-in-your-mouth almondy on the inside. Could this be heaven on earth? I think so. This is what I ordered at the Petit Versailles Bakery near our quaint hotel in Paris every morning. Even their ceiling reminded me of roses and swallows flying around a glittering chandelier. Aaaaah.
