I'm getting so excited for my trip to New York next week.  I will be visiting Jill Stuart in Soho and browsing through her gorgeous makeup line.  These are some of her older ads that I saved in a file becuase their makeup is so soft and pretty.  Happy Pink Saturday!

Easter Chicks

Easter is coming and that means pink cherry blossoms and fluffy chicks.  Two of my favorite things.  This year I added a couple of bantams to my tiny coup.  I stuck them in my dove cage with a heat lamp to keep them warm.  My dove Romeo seems to enjoy the company since he lost his mate Juliet a while ago.

Little Pink Bathroom

This is my very small, very pink bathroom.  When we bought the house it was a french country royal blue and golden yellow wallpaper.  A friend of mine gave me a couple rolls of paintable textured wallpaper.  I think it's probably supposed to look like tin ceiling tiles from the Victorian era, but I used it on the walls and painted it a soft shell pink. The bottom half of the wall is white wood with a floral embossed trim.  Happy Pink Saturday...hope you all have time for a lovely pink bubblebath.

Thanks to my wonderful sister for taking better photos of my "treasures." I posted some similar photos of my vanity a year ago, but my sad little camera turns out so blurry. You can see I'm a clutter bug. I like to display my jewelry where I can just grab and go. My favorite dish is the tiny fish vase that holds my diamond hair pins. paris accents

A little dash of pink... a pinch of sparkle and voila! The room is transformed into girly retreat. I try to add a bit of Paris wherever possible. White sweet peas and narcissus bulbs make my room smell heavenly. Happy Pink Saturday! http://www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com/

Roses and Perfume

Rose, queen of flowers, you make me so happy. I adore roses. At one time I had 96 pink rose bushes of different varieties growing in my yard. My favorite ones to collect are the moss roses. Hundreds of petals that all smell fruity and floral at the same time. My husband bought me the Miss Dior Cherie collection and I love the subtle sophistication of the hint of roses without being too floral. The print ads are so beautiful with all the different varieties of roses in the background.
