Can I have a Puppy Please?

I really want a maltese puppy. This is my wishlist for my future puppy, just in case my husband ever reads this blog. A Bon Ton Nano Glam plastic bag holder, Pink toile and leopard bed and matching bowls, tiara diamond hair clips and a pink pearl collar all tucked into hatbox.

Bite of Paris

Woke up this morning wishing I could have coffee and a croissant at a cafe in Paris. Really, morning is my favorite part of the day. Especially when you have nothing in particular to do. You can just sit quietly, watching wealthy people walk their dog with their "man" servant behind them waiting to scoop the poopies when it should be necessary. French aren't normally into picking up after their pups, but I did witness a manservant doing just that. Along with people walking briskly to catch the Metro or riding their bike with little baskets on the front, trying to get to work on time. The flow of Parisiennes provide a steady stream of entertainment and curiosity. Where do they work? How do they live? And why do they get to drink rose flavored Elixia Lemonade at Fouchons whenever they want and we don't? Paris fascinates me. Especially standing in the baguette aisle at the grocer and watching them handle the crust of each loaf, pulling it close to their ear, yes, with their bare hands, in order to listen for that perfect crunch. I once watched someone pick up five different loaves until they "heard" the perfect one.

Evening Bag Dream Collection

Holidays are around the corner. The shops are already starting to display Christmas decor. Here is my dream collection of handbags that I wish I could carry with me to holiday parties.

Every girl needs a place to dream. From retro to baroque, the chaise is an invitation to leisure. Chaise lounges make the perfect place to curl up with a good book, write a secret diary entry or steal a cat nap in the afternoon sun. So put on something long and silky and join the glamour era of Hollywood on one of these little beauties.

Pearly Belts

I love pearls. I wear them as much as possible. Belts are an unexpected and feminine way to add pearls to your wardrobe. As the famous handbag designer Lulu Guinness would say: "Put on your Pearls Girls." In her darling book PEARLS stands for Poised, Elegant, Attractive, Radiant, Ladylike and Sophisticated. Break out your grandma's pearl necklace and tie some ribbon to it so you can wear it as a belt this season. Have fun!

Pink and Gold- A Match Made in Heaven

I love the rich, feminine look of pink and gold together. It's total eyecandy. Especially Laduree's Rose Religieuse on the pictured on top. It is a cream puff filled with rose creme anglaise and frosted with rose icing. Laduree finally opened in New York so my husband and I are planning a little holiday to visit the new location.

My favorite frangrances tend to be floral or anything my husband will kiss me twice and then ask me "what are you wearing?" Among my vintage bottles are pictured from top to bottom: Annick Goutal La Violette, Fifi Chachnil, Reverence, Annick Goutal Petite Cherie, Annick Goutal Matin d'orage, Laduree Violette Air Perfume which is a room fragrance. The last bottle pictured is my favorite fragrance called Quelques Fleurs. It has been my signature fragrance for over twenty years and claims to be the first multi floral fragrance ever created. It has a very distiguished history with many royal figures who also found this fragrance intoxicating.

Bow Ring Obsession

I recently purchased a sterling silver bow ring from Target for around $35 and love it so much I want one in real diamonds for Christmas. I've been seaching the internet for the best prices and the best styles. Some are very reasonable, like the one from Zales (first picture). Some are a little pricey, like the one from Tiffany's (second picture). They are all very cute and remind me so much of Marie Antoinette. They will look sweet next to my vintage wedding ring which is a cushin cut diamond set in platinum from around 1900. Maybe a new ring will inspire me to keep my nails polished?
